Doggy Daycare

At Odindisa, we’re dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment where your beloved furry companion can thrive under experienced and passionate care.  Research indicates that dogs engaged in enrichment activities show a 40% decrease in destructive behaviours compared to those who lack such stimulation. From socialising with other dogs to relaxing in their own space, we make sure your dog’s stay is balanced with fun, relaxation, and personalised care. With a focus on maintaining a comfortable and secure atmosphere, your dog will feel right at home.

Doggy Daycare is $40/day/dog. Doggy Daycare is run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays every week from 7am to 7pm (drop off and collection times are flexible during this period), providing your dog a consistent routine and regular socialisation. 2 socially savvy Swedish Vallhunds are ready to play with your fur baby. 

Odindisa welcomes:

• Small and medium dogs, ensuring personalized care and attention.  

• Female dogs only, meaning no need for sterilization. In heat? No problem!  

• Dogs with up-to-date C3 vaccinations (titre test results accepted).  

• Puppies over 9 weeks old.  

• Dog-social dogs.

Doggy Boarding / Sleep Overs

Your dog can stay overnight to enjoy a home away from home, where they can play, relax, and rest in a safe and enriching environment.

Filtered water is always available, and your dog will always sleep inside at night. 

I will feed your dog the food you provide. If your dog is staying for longer then your dog can alternatively have the same meals as Odindisa dogs, which includes:

• Meat products and vegetables

• Sardines in oil

• Pumpkin seeds for joint health

• Hemp powder for omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids

• Greek Yoghurt providing good gut health

• Eggs for a balance of healthy fats and vitamins

• Premium dog kibble

An overnight stay is $40/night/dog to a maximum of 2 dogs per night to ensure optimal care is provided. Drop off is from 6pm, pick up by 8am.

Doggy Taxi Service

Pick up and drop off for any of our services, or to take your dog to an appointment.

Odindisa transports dogs in an 2023 MG ZST car, which has integrated modern safety features to enhance passenger protection. Inside 2 dog crates are securely anchored: Ruffland Medium, and a 4pets Caree travel carrier. Both provide safety, comfort, and practicality for transporting your dog securely to and from appointments.

Doggy Taxi Service is charged at $2 per kilometre, and $10 per 20 minute wait.

Odindisa generally services the City of Armadale and Byford area. Please contact Odindisa directly for a quote.

FAQs

Can I bring my own dog's bedding and toys?

You are welcome to bring your dog's own bedding for overnight stays, however there are many toy options available here for your dog to play with that are sure to entertain them!

Do I need to bring my pet's own food?

Yes, you are required to supply all food for short sleep overs. For extended stays please discuss options such as combining daycare with boarding for full 24/7 care. If your dog is staying for longer then your dog can alternatively have the same meals as Odindisa dogs, which includes:

• Meat products and vegetables

• Sardines in oil

You may bring along your pets treats, although we have a selection of yummy treats here that are complimentary during your pets stay.

How can I be sure my pets will be well cared for at your facility?

Your dog is kept in a safe environment on a modest suburban block that has secure 1.8m high colorbond fencing. I am located close to Kudah Vet, who is Odindisa's preferred vet.  I am experienced with breeding, whelping and care of dogs.

What must I bring with me when checking in my pet?

• Current vaccination certificates (or titre test results)

• Current medications (with instructions)

• Meals if your dog is staying overnight

I can't come during the nominated hours, what can I do?

If you are unable to drop off or pick up your pet during the nominated hours then please advise so that we can organise something, otherwise you may be charged an extra full day of fees.

A pick up and delivery service is also available. Odindisa's Doggie Taxi Service is charged at an additional $2 per kilometre. Generally the City of Armadale and Byford area is served. Please contact Odindisa directly for a quote.

What time do you feed the dogs?

Dogs staying overnight are typically fed at 6pm. We can also cater to special feeding requirements.

Can I visit my pet while they stay with you?

Generally owners are dropping off and collecting dogs for the day or evening, and rarely visit, so this is not offered.

How are your fees charged?

Fees are charged from day of arrival and are charged at the full day rate, regardless of the time they arrive or are collected. 

If your dog is collected after the time period specified (7pm for daycare and 8am for boarding) then an additional day fees is payable.

How many dogs can I book with you at one time?

Odindisa accepts a maximum of 2 dogs per night per household so that optimal care is ensured. 

Is there heating/cooling available?

The house is air conditioned, allowing for refined climate control. 

What if there's an emergency medical problem?

Odindisa's preferred vet is available during business hours. After hours vets accessed are AEC Midland, West Coast Veterinary Hospital or WAVES.

What level of vaccination does my dog require?

C3 vaccination is required. This includes Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus. 

The dogs that live at Odindisa have C5 vaccinations, so they are additionally protected against Kennel Cough and Bordetella. 

Your dog's vaccination records or titre test results are required upon booking to confirm their vaccinations are current.

Can I board my dog with you for longer?

At Odindisa there is scope to combine overnight stays with doggie daycare for 24/7 care for your longer holidays.

Are there dogs you won't take?

Odindisa specialises in providing care for its own show team, which is comprised of entire female dogs. This means we accept female dogs who are in-tact and in heat. No sterilisation required, ever! The secure back yard ensures no wandering males can come onto the property. Odindisa cannot take boy dogs at this stage as we don't have the facilities to effectively keep them separate from females in heat. 

Dogs that are generally deemed dog aggressive are not currently accepted as we do not have facilities to keep them separate from other dogs. These dogs include American Staffordshire Terriers (AmStaffs) and Staffordshire Bull Terriers (Staffies). 

Odindisa cares for small and medium-sized dogs, with a maximum weight range of about 20kg being the upper limit. This ensures that play remains fair and safe, as dogs of similar size and energy levels are more likely to engage in positive interactions. A weight limit helps create a balanced environment where smaller dogs feel comfortable and are not overwhelmed by significantly larger playmates. 

Additionally, it allows for tailored care and supervision, ensuring that all dogs receive the attention, exercise, and space they need to thrive. By focusing on small and medium breeds, we maintain a harmonious atmosphere where every pup can enjoy their stay with confidence and ease.

Insurance and Fine Print

Bookings are handled through PetsOnMe, who provide liability insurance coverage for doggy daycare and boarding services.

Vets generally accessed for emergencies are Kudah Vet and Greencross Vets in Cockburn (Please advise if your dog is a Healthy Pets Plus member). 

After hours vets accessed are AEC Midland, West Coast Veterinary Hospital or WAVES.
